Yes Terri, You are a Pro

While in Jackson over Thanksgiving, Terri took some shots of Landon for our Christmas card. It is very hard and quite rare for me to have any admitions that Terri does anything better than me, but I will give her the title for photography. Not only are these pictures great, but as Landon was leaving to take them he had just been woken up from his nap and was NOT happy. So, to get these pics. from Landon at that moment does take a professional, or at least a very good and creative bribe.

Halloween

Landon's Stash-more important to him than life itself.
Emily-the Garden Gnome

Landon and Matthew (1/2 dressed Pirate)

Optimus Prime was out on the town in Cambridge for Halloween. Grandma Jan came with us this year for the trick-or-treating fun.. We went to Sohn's house, a co-worker's house, and a very scary neighborhood in Cambridge that is fun to visit every year.

Carving Time.....

Camera w/o flash doesn't work too well, but here they are!

Landon working on his pumpkin, after obviously eating pizza.

Casey once again THRILLED to carve pumpkins!

The three pumpkins: One on the right: $4.27 at Anoka pumpkin patch.
Middle one: $8.67 at Anoka pumpkin patch.
HUGE one on the left: $2.98 at Walmart...go figure.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Anoka County Farms pumpkin patch a few nights ago, and it was totally LAME! There wasn't anything to do except buy pumpkins...which by the way were .45 cents/lb...We chose this specific pumpkin patch because they their website said they had Pony rides. When we got there we were told that there were no Pony rides on weekdays..so it was pretty much a flop. Landon still had fun but next year we'll stick with what we know: Poppe Pumpkin Patch.

Fall

With October being the coldest on record so far, I figured I'd better get some fall pictures before the decorations get burried in snow.

Last day of Summer..

Landon and his buddy Keegan said farewell to summer with one last fudge pop on the deck...

Mr. Volleyball

Here are a few shots of Casey in action w/ his B Squad Volleyball team. They are 4-2 right now, but he has the best team of 9-12th graders in Cambridge...I do know one thing: watching volleyball is a nice change from wrestling..

Summer Fun on the Slip N Slide

Jake and Landon got out the Slip N Slide last night to cool off from the hot temps. Since it didn't seem dangerous enough, they decided to put a pool at the end and push Landon down the slide on a huge Shark so he'd flip into the pool at the end. Only one minor injury, other than that he loved flopping around and flying into the pool.

Clifford Park

Landon's favorite park is Clifford Park in Isanti. Last weekend we let him invite a friend to go with him and thy had a blast climbing walls, chasing each other around, and completing obstacle courses that they made up.

Mini Majors

Just when I thought Casey's 7th grade softball team was the worst I'd ever seen, I signed Landon up for Mini Majors and saw a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds running around w/ their heads cut off...Only difference, it was fun to watch Landon and his friends run around having no idea what was going on! Two of his best buddies were on his team and they loved goofing off together (weird since I was so serious about everything when I was a kid..).

Me and Daddy

We went to the city park the other night and Landon had a blast rolling down the big hill and getting dizzy. We all had a good time, Landon was so good, just happy to have his Dad there playing with him..what a great summer night.

Landon's Buddy

Landon has been hanging out a lot this summer with our neighbor, Keegan. They have baseball together, ride bike together, and now play on Landon's fort together. One day Casey got out the pool and turned the fort into a waterpark!! Keegan didn't quite like how fast he went down the slide, but Landon couldn't get enough of it. They are turning out to be great buddies.

Celebrating the 4th in Okoboji

We celebrated Independance Day this year in Okoboji, IA. We rented a condo with the entire Wells' family at Bridges Bay resort. They have a huge indoor waterpark, an outdoor pool (complete w/ a swim-up bar), and great rooms w/ full kitchens. We spent the entire weekend there and Landon couldn't get enough of the waterpark..We also took in the fireworks show at Arnold's Park. It was a great get away!!!

Paine Campout!

The Annual Paine campout was a great time, once again. This year we had the 1st Annual Paine Parade, complete w/ the Rockford Fire Department!!! The kids loved decorating their bikes for the parade, and I'm sure there were several people in town wondering if they forgot about Rockford Days!!! We also took the kids to a waterpark in Charles City. They also had a carnival going on so they got to play all kinds of games, have boat races, and listen to a police officer talk about safety. It was a great weekend. It's always fun to travel somewhere like that where life is just a little more laid back and you can act as crazy as the locals!
