Me and Daddy

We went to the city park the other night and Landon had a blast rolling down the big hill and getting dizzy. We all had a good time, Landon was so good, just happy to have his Dad there playing with him..what a great summer night.

Landon's Buddy

Landon has been hanging out a lot this summer with our neighbor, Keegan. They have baseball together, ride bike together, and now play on Landon's fort together. One day Casey got out the pool and turned the fort into a waterpark!! Keegan didn't quite like how fast he went down the slide, but Landon couldn't get enough of it. They are turning out to be great buddies.

Celebrating the 4th in Okoboji

We celebrated Independance Day this year in Okoboji, IA. We rented a condo with the entire Wells' family at Bridges Bay resort. They have a huge indoor waterpark, an outdoor pool (complete w/ a swim-up bar), and great rooms w/ full kitchens. We spent the entire weekend there and Landon couldn't get enough of the waterpark..We also took in the fireworks show at Arnold's Park. It was a great get away!!!

Paine Campout!

The Annual Paine campout was a great time, once again. This year we had the 1st Annual Paine Parade, complete w/ the Rockford Fire Department!!! The kids loved decorating their bikes for the parade, and I'm sure there were several people in town wondering if they forgot about Rockford Days!!! We also took the kids to a waterpark in Charles City. They also had a carnival going on so they got to play all kinds of games, have boat races, and listen to a police officer talk about safety. It was a great weekend. It's always fun to travel somewhere like that where life is just a little more laid back and you can act as crazy as the locals!

What you get for $300.

When you go to Jackson for a weekend, you never know what you'll come home with, especially if you let Casey and my Dad go driving around town. This time, it was a pop-up camper, and she's a beauty!!! It's a 1978 Bethany.....I was pretty skeptical, but Casey was very excited and I couldn't say no, especially to the price tag, $300.00!!! When we got it home, Casey put in a new floor, new countertops, and fixed any other "age marks" it had, and I must say I am quite impressed. My dad is still trying to talk me into getting a custom teal stripe on my car, but I think that's where I'll draw the line.

Landon's new Fort!!!

Thanks to Grandpa Denny, Casey, Uncle Jon, and some other helpers, Landon got an awesome new fort that is a lot like the one that I had growing up. It isn't quite finished yet, we still have to add a couple of swings, but it seems to be a hit in the neighborhood. Above Landon and Matthew (Katie Sohn's son) are playing with the finished product. Thanks for everyone's help in building this fort. I'm sure it'll be used for years to come!!!

Landon's 4th Birthday

Landon's 4th Birthday was a success, no thanks to good weather, as usual. We had his party in Jackson on June 6th at Ashley Park. He loved all his gifts and was happy to see everyone there. On his actual birthday we met Emily, Jason, and Chloe at Chuckie Cheese and he had a blast there as well. Happy 4th Birthday, Landon!! We love you!!!
