First Day of "School"

Landon was SO excited for his first day of "school". Actually, he's just going to a daycare center/preschool, but to him it's SCHOOL. He HAD to go to Target to get a new backpack, cuz his Doodlebops one he has is for babies (according to Landon). His first day went well, I think he was excited to see all the things they have at his new "school". He came home and told me about his two new friends, Katie and Alex. Today was his second day and when Casey dropped him off he had to be pryed off of Casey by the teacher because Landon wanted so badly to stay home with Casey. I think the long summer home with Dad caught up with him! After a few minutes he was fine and ended up having a great day. None of us can believe summer is over and Landon is getting so OLD so FAST!!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa Don!

After our trip to the Zoo we met up w/ Emily, Jason, Chloe, Grandma, and Grandpa at Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate Grandpa Don's birthday! Landon loves celebrating birthdays and handing out gifts (and opening them). Most importantly, he LOVES his Grandpa!! You can see it in his eyes how much Landon looks up to him.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA!!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears!!

It's just about the end of summer and the beginning of the school year, so we thought we'd better take Landon to the MN Zoo before it was too late. He LOVED it. His favorite animals were the Grizzly Bears (new exhibit is awesome) and the Monkeys. It was a FUN day!

Hit Me Baby, One More Time!!!

So more rain fell, and so did another tree!! This time it isn't such an easy fix. We were all sleeping around 5am, and all of a sudden I thought we were being attacked or something, as the tree broke off and came crashing over 15 feet onto the house. When it hit, half of it broke and fell off the house, and the other half is still on the roof. The log Landon is sitting on is one half that fell on top of the house. There is some roof and gutter damage this time, and we're having someone come look at it today. Our neighbor says it'll cost thousands to have both huge trees completely removed so it doesn't happen again. There are still HUGE branches/logs over our house just waiting for their turn to break. It's suposed to storm again tonight, I kinda feel like sleeping in the basement!! I know we want to rent this house until Casey's teaching job is more stable, but mother nature is sure making it difficult!

BUNKER BEACH!!

Today we took Landon to bunker beach, a great little waterpark about 20 miles from Cambridge. He loved it!! They had waterslides for kids his age, he must of went down them 50 times! He says his favorite thing at Bunker Beach was the Wave Pool, which was also my favorite. We stayed near the shallow end and Landon jumped over the waves as they came in, he just loved it! It was a great, sunny day. I can't believe summer is almost over.

Like Father, Like Son

Landon absolutely loves pretending to be just like daddy!! Tonight they were rocking out on Guitar Hero and I had to take a few shots of them.

What a STORM!

Yesterday a rain/wind storm went through Cambridge, knocking down trees and blowing around all kinds of random things. We had a huge tree branch break that hangs over top of our house. It fell and broke our camping chair and one of Landon's riding toys.

10 Year Reunion

We had our 10 year Reunion Aug. 2nd in Jackson at the Golf Course. We had a great turnout, and it was a fun weekend...it started w/ a party at my parent's house and the Johnny Holmes concert on Friday night, and our reunion was held Sat. night. We all had a great time both nights, it was so fun seeing everyone again. I hope to just attend the next reunion and not be so involved in the planning, as I get stressed out easily when trying to plan and put together large events!!!
