Watch out for the Black Spiderman!!

This Halloween Landon decided to be Spiderman...He got the reversable costume so he could be both the Red Spiderman and Black Spiderman, but he stuck with the Black Spiderman for trick-or-treating...His costume also came with some built-in muscles, however Landon didn't think it was neccessary, as he's been building lots of muscle lifting the Wii remote..We spent Halloween first watching the Vikes lose, big surprise there..Then, we headed out to a popular neighborhood in Cambridge that goes all out for the holiday..and this year was no different, except maybe that there was a real mad man on the lose in Cambridge who had just stabbed 2 people with a meat cleaver!!! We ended our night in Isanti at our friends, Keith and Holly's house, so Landon could see what their dog, Max, was dressed up as...he was a hotdog.

Water Park of America

This past Saturday we made a last minute decision to meet Sara and her family in Bloomington at the Water Park of America, and what a great decision it was! We all had a blast, and its by far the best indoor water park we've been to..The hotel rooms were great, too..They had bunkbeds for the kids and a balcony over-looking the water park..ours was right on top of the surfing simulator, so we had a great time watching all the old Dad's attempting to surf and taking huge tumbles! Casey, Carter, Dylan, Brad, and even Landon gave boogie-boarding a try..It didn't work out too well for Carter, and Landon got flipped off pretty fast...Sara and I did the typical thing and snuck off to go shopping for awhile as well..Overall it was a great weekend, we hope to do it again in a couple months! Thanks for a great time Hoogendoorns!

Landon hits up J-town...

Landon took a trip to Jackson with Terri, Lincoln, and Jayna over MEA weekend to see Grandma Jan and Aunt Nancy, and also to jump in the leaves and pick that very important pumpkin at the best pumpkin patch in the world, Poppe's Pumpkin Patch..Casey and I had planned to go as well but unfortunetely had a funeral to attend instead..Landon, being 5 now and SO old, was happy to go without us, because again, he is 5 now. Landon had been talking about jumping in leaves at Grandma Jan's for weeks so we're glad Terri offered to take him with her..and thanks for taking these pics Aunt Terri:) They are great:)

The Neighborhood Posse!

Landon and his neighborhood buddies all ride around the cul-de-sac like a biker gang in Sturgis! Nobody messes with them when their posse is out! Of course their toughness does deminish a little when their moms tell them its getting dark out and they need to come inside! But they do have quite an imagination when the gang is together...Our neighborhood has been a great place for Landon to make friends and be a worry-free kid just playing outside with his buddies! Its amazing how old he is, and even more amazing how old he THINKS he is!

CIRCUS!!!

We took Landon and his best buddy Cal to the Circus at the Target Center in October..They loved it! They couldn't believe all the dancing Elephants, acrobats, clowns, and huge Tigers!! They ate cotton candy, popcorn, and mini-donuts, and also bought some sweet swords!

Valleyfair

Landon, Lincoln, and Jayna enojoyed their 3rd annual Valleyfair trip together. Landon enjoyed all the rides, but was pretty disappointed that he couldn't go on all the rides that Lincoln could. Taking his genes into account, we're guessing next year won't be any better! The Wild Thing will have to wait a couple more years! Until then, Jayna loves following him around on all the kiddie rides!

Mr. Baseball

Landon has been keeping busy this summer so far with swimming lessons and baseball. He's in baseball with his two buddies, Matthew and Ben. They goof off a lot but its hard to get mad when they are having so much fun!

Around the House

Now that July is almost here, Casey decided to get started on staining the deck. Shockingly, Landon was very helpful. He picked out his own brush at Lowes and stained very well. The shocking part is that he was out there for hours without saying anything at all, just helping Dad...
I also took a shot of my little garden I have in the backyard. When I say "my" garden, I mean "I planted it and Casey weeds and maintains it". He's done a great job with it this summer. I have tomatoes, green peppers, jalapenos, sweet peas, cucumber, carrots, strawberries, and raspberries. YUM!
The flowers are looking really good this year as well. I have to give Casey credit again on taking care of the lawn and flowers. I kind of like him staying home in the summer, so maybe I won't make him get a summer job next year!
Come on over for a BBQ anytime!

Win or Lose, We Still Booze

Well the Paine Reunion was a hit again this year. The kids had a blast on our big waterslide, going to Greene Days, fishing, and running around causing trouble. My highlight was watching Terri dance on the bar to "Hanging Tough" by New Kids on the Block, her new theme song. I don't care what they say about you Terri, I was very proud to be your sister that night!

No more training wheels!!

Well, it took about 10 minutes worth of Landon crying and afraid to even try riding his bike without training wheels. Once he got over the fear, he just took off! I couldn't believe it. I thought it would have been weeks of training and fighting with him to take those training wheels off. He's very proud now that he can ride his bike like his neighborhood friends, and at only 4 years old!

Landon's first EVER wrestling match!!
